Assistant Design Specialist

At JC Jackson Homes, we believe that home design should be inspiring, personal, and enjoyable. As our Assistant Design Specialist, you'll work closely with our Design Studio team to help homebuyers bring their vision to life -- from finishes to fixtures and everything in between.

This is a hands-on training role designed for someone eager to grow into a Design Specialist position. You'll gain experience in client relations, product knowledge, and project coordination -- building a foundation for a rewarding career in residential design.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Design Specialist in guiding homebuyers through interior and exterior selections.
  • Assist clients in exploring colors, finishes, and materials that fit their style and our community standards.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Estimating, Drafting, and Construction teams to ensure selections are accurate and on schedule.
  • Maintain detailed customer records, schedules, and documentation.
  • Learn product lines, design standards, and construction methods to grow your design expertise.
  • Partner with vendors to stay informed on new trends, materials, and innovations.

What We're Looking For

  • 3 to 5 years of interior design or home selections experience is preferred.
  • A friendly, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for home design and customer service.
  • Excellent sense of color, proportion, and the ability to visualize spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and contribute in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
